Beef Stew

      Title: Jeffs Spicy Stew

      Yield: 20 servings
     15 tb Flour
      5 ts Black pepper
      1 ts Cayenne pepper
  2 1/2 ts Garlic powder
  2 1/2 ts Cumin
      5 lb Stew beef, cut into 1 inch
      5 tb Vegetable oil
      5 md Onion, chopped in large
      5 ts Dried thyme leaves
     12 c  Beef broth
      4 ea Garlic cloves, crushed
      3 ts Hot sauce
     10 md Potatoes, cubed
     15    Stalks Celery, sliced
     15    Carrots, sliced
     16 oz Red wine
  Combine flour, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and cumin in a
  plastic bag. Add meat cubes a few at a time, shaking to coat. Heat oil in
  a large saucepan. Add meat and brown. Put onion, meat, wine, garlic
  cloves, beef broth and thyme to crock pot. Simmer 6 to 8 hours until meat
   is tender. Turn on high, add hot sauce and bring to a boil. Add veggies
   and cook for 1 to 2 more hours, do not let the veggies get mushy.
